How to launch your own supplement brand in Morocco: a 7-step guide

You have a product idea, a community or a pharmacy clientele, and you want your own supplement brand? Good news: you no longer need a factory. Here is how to go from idea to ready-to-sell product, step by step.

1. Define your positioning

Before talking about formulas, lay the foundations. A supplement that sells is first of all a product designed for a specific audience, sold through a specific channel.

  • Your customer: athletes, active women, seniors, pharmacy customers… The clearer the target, the simpler the product and the message.
  • Your sales channel: pharmacies and drugstores, gyms, e-commerce and social media, or export distribution. Each channel has its own expectations on price, packaging and volumes.
  • Your difference: an ingredient, a more convenient format, a design, a community. Ask yourself why someone would buy your product rather than another.

2. Choose your formula: ready-made or custom

This is the decision that shapes your budget and your time to launch.

  • Ready formula (private label): you choose a proven formula from the manufacturer’s library, and it is produced under your brand. At Escop, that starts from 100 units per product, with 48 formulas in the catalogue.
  • Custom formula: the formula is developed for your brand and stays attached to it. At Escop, the minimum is 1,000 units.

Many brands start with a ready formula to test the market, then develop an exclusive formula for their best-seller. We compare both options in detail in our private label vs custom formula guide.

3. Choose the right format

Capsules, powders, liquids: the format affects the possible dosage, the customer experience and the packaging. Magnesium works well in capsules, a protein or creatine in powder, a syrup for customers who dislike swallowing capsules.

4. Create your brand and packaging

On a shelf or in an Instagram feed, your packaging is your first salesperson.

  • Name and logo: short and easy to pronounce — in Arabic as well as French or English if you target several audiences.
  • Container: pill bottle, tub, pouch, bottle… it must protect the product and match your positioning.
  • Label: readable, consistent across the range, and carrying the information required by the regulations that apply to your product.

Escop suggests suitable containers and designs the label and box based on your identity — or works from your files.

5. Plan for the regulatory steps

Placing a dietary supplement on the market involves procedures that depend on the product and the country of sale. They are the brand’s responsibility.

6. Plan your first production run

Once the formula and packaging are approved, things move fast:

  1. Brief and quote: you describe your project, we send you a clear offer.
  2. A sample if you want one: it is prepared on request — just mention it in your quote request.
  3. Approval of the formula, container and label.
  4. Production: it starts from 5 days, depending on the current production schedule, with every batch checked.
  5. Delivery of your ready-to-sell products.

7. Launch, measure, restock

Your first batch is an experiment: track what sells, listen to customer feedback, adjust your message. When a product takes off, increase volumes — our capacity of 30,000 bottles per month keeps up with your growth — and widen the range around your best-sellers.

  • Positioning and sales channel defined
  • Formula chosen (ready or custom)
  • Format and container approved
  • Label and identity ready
